The Power CABLE
Everything matters in a high-resolution system
VOXATIV CRYO POWER
Silence Is the Foundation of Sound
A power cable does more than simply carry electrical energy. It also forms the connection between an electrically noisy power grid and the sensitive circuitry of a high-performance audio system. This is exactly where the Voxativ Cryo Power comes into play.
Its specially developed internal conductors are made from high-purity copper with a ferrite coating. While mains power is transmitted with virtually no restriction, the ferrite presents a frequency-dependent, lossy impedance to high-frequency interference. Unwanted RF energy is therefore attenuated within the cable itself before it can reach rectifiers, power supplies and sensitive audio circuitry.
Cryogenically Conditioned Conductors
Before final assembly, the ferrite-coated conductors are immersed in liquid nitrogen for ten minutes and cooled to approximately −180 °C. The intense thermal contraction acts on the copper, the ferrite coating and the interfaces between them.
Following cryogenic treatment, the conductors are carefully returned to room temperature and subsequently assembled by hand. At Voxativ, we do not regard this process as an isolated effect, but as one element of the complete cable concept: conductor material, ferrite coating, cryogenic treatment, mechanical construction and electrical contacts are designed as one integrated system.
Pure Copper from End to End
Even an exceptional conductor can only realise its full potential when its contact points are engineered to the same uncompromising standard. For this reason, the Voxativ Cryo Power uses high-quality connectors with solid pure-copper contacts at both the mains and equipment ends.
Copper offers significantly higher electrical conductivity than the brass alloys commonly used in power connectors. Pure-copper contacts minimise unnecessary material transitions and, with sufficient contact pressure, provide low and consistently stable contact resistance.
The high-quality copper path therefore does not stop at the connector. From the wall outlet all the way to the component, the connection is designed throughout for high conductivity and reliable current delivery.
Each cable is carefully assembled by hand. Particular attention is paid to mechanical stability, contact pressure and the precise connection between conductor and plug. Especially with high-power amplifiers, stable contact is essential to ensure that short-term current peaks can be delivered without unnecessary transition resistance.
The Sonic Result
The Voxativ Cryo Power presents music against an exceptionally quiet background. Fine details emerge more clearly, spatial relationships become easier to perceive, and transients appear cleaner and more immediate.
Bass gains power, definition and control. At the same time, reproduction becomes more open, natural and less mechanical. The cable does not alter the character of the system—it allows the system to reveal its full musical potential.
The Voxativ Cryo Power operates without an additional filter enclosure and without active components. Its performance results from the carefully engineered combination of ferrite-based RF attenuation, cryogenically conditioned copper conductors, mechanically stable construction and high-quality pure-copper contacts at both ends.
